WE ARE WORKING TO IMPROVE ACCESS AND DIVERSITY IN CLIMBING

Amy Stone

Joy, Faith, Love, and compassion were not just words for my grandmother, Ms. Amy Stone; they were the guiding principles that shaped her life, the legacy she carefully cultivated for her children and grandchildren. Every day, she wove these values into the fabric of her family, creating a tapestry of kindness and generosity that would endure for generations to come.

Every one of her grandchildren will swear that they were her favorite; she knew how to make everyone feel uniquely loved and valued. Her home was not just a place to live but a sanctuary of love, where the doors were always open, and the kettle always on. Countless individuals found solace within its walls, whether in need of a warm meal, a listening ear, or simply a comforting presence. Every guest was made to feel like a cherished member of the family.

Ms. Amy’s heart was big enough to embrace the whole community. I grew up watching her volunteer at church events, where she was a tireless advocate for those in need. Her spirit of giving knew no bounds, and her legacy of altruism was a testament to the power of one individual to make a difference.

When the time came to establish a foundation dedicated to the values she held dear, I wanted to honor my grandmother. Today, the Amy Stone Foundation stands as a living testament to Amy’s legacy, continuing her mission of spreading joy, faith, love, and compassion to all who need it most. Through its programs and initiatives, it serves as a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can ignite a spark of hope and change lives for the better.

Though she may no longer be with us in body, Amy Stone’s spirit lives on in every heart she touched, every life she inspired, every soul she nourished, and now every person touched by her foundation. Her legacy of love continues to brighten the world, a beacon of light in times of darkness, a reminder of the power of goodness in our lives.

For those who knew her, Amy was more than just a matriarch; she was a beacon of light, a source of unwavering support and warmth. Her home was not just a place to live but a sanctuary of love, where the doors were always open, and the kettle always on. Countless individuals found solace within its walls, whether in need of a warm meal, a listening ear, or simply a comforting presence.
