We remove barriers for youth in the tri-state area, focusing on children who struggle with housing insecurity, are in probationary programs, and/or lack resources or familial support at home. Our programming creates a space for youth experiencing these circumstances to come together, be in community with each other, and most importantly to just be kids having fun with mentors who look like them. In addition to youth programming, we work with climbing gyms around New York and New Jersey to host free routesetting clinics for underrepresented setters, addressing not only representation in climbing but a path to future growth within the industry. The indoor climbing industry is in the midst of a renaissance with regard to creating career pathways for commercial setters, and we want to ensure that those pathways are open to everyone. We are building a future of diversity and opportunity in this growing sport that has the power to connect people to each other and to the nature around them.
